Gratitude

It is the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. Gratitude is a selfless act. Its acts are done unconditionally. Gratitude is an emotion similar to appreciation.

The experience of writing a gratitude letter was so amazing. Many people come into our lives and did much for us even we can’t imagine. The way we appreciate the one who did much for us but we didn’t show gratitude. We just say thanks in a normal way. During writing a gratitude letter, I focused on positive abilities.

Gratitude involves three basic steps:

1. Think of someone who has done something important and wonderful for you, yet who you feel you have not properly thanked.

2. Reflect on the benefits you received from this person, and write a letter expressing your gratitude for all they have done for you.

3. Deliver the letter personally, or by Mial or any other possible way

There are many benefits that I got during writing:

  1. Improved emotional, and social well-being
  2. Increased happiness
  3. Improved emotional and academic intelligence
  4. Ability to see something bigger than ourselves
